Spice shop

This one of the first windmills as you walk along the Zaan River from the bridge. The entrance is free. The shop sells different spices and souvenirs. I got two Delft blue containers with stroopwaffels.

    The spicy windmill
    This should be the first windmill when you approached from Zaase Museum. It was quite interesting inside. It was quite smelly with bags of spices thereat. Try to buy some if you were keen at the kitchen works.

    Old Time Windmill
    Of the windmills in the village that we came across, this was the only one to not charge admission (although it did solicit donations). The theme of this windmill is the heritage of the Netherlands in the spice trade. In addition to learning a bit about this, as well as the role of windmills in the spice industry, there is a spice store within the base level of the windmill.
