Beautiful boat, friendly hosts, fine food - great day at the "Zuiderzee"
Pilou, Arnold and Simon gave us a great sailing trip and a wonderful afternoon on the IJsselmeer. Hoisting sails, chilling and a cool beer among friends - and all this under the Swiss flag;-) What more do you want?! I can recommend the trip to 100% - even the weather was well organized...

Traditional Dutch transportation
Arnold and Pilou organized our special birthday party, a day out on the 115 year old traditional Tjalk for a group of 21 persons of all ages. The day was a huge succes! We stayed below deck when it rained. We helped with the rigging and sailing and socialized on deck when the weather turned for the better. Great lunch on board, snacks and beverages. Stopped in Volendam for a traditional dress, group picture (a bit touristic but great fun and nice souvenir), sailed some more and anchored for a dinner BBQ. The food was superb, several home made salads and a choice of meats. Interactive planning on the go, matching our wishes etc etc. A day to remember! Thank you so much guys!!!

Pretty town with old bell tower
Monnickendam is another of the Waterland towns which we were able to visit with our Waterland day card bus ticket. It was a pretty little town and there is a small museum with a bell tower where we watched the inner workings of the carillon when it chimed at 4 pm. Our Museumkaart was accepted.
