Start with a cup of coffee or tea in the Bakery Out near the little bridge in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. Did you know that Ouderkerk is the founding place of Amsterdam? After the stop go left over the bridge. First part till you pass the highway A9, aprox. 2 km, you enter the world of the oldest Polder in NL. Enjoy the ride!

    Perfect area for a pleasant bike ride
    Rent a bike in Amsterdam and you can easily reach this area just south of the city and do a beautiful circular bike ride along the Amstel river down to the Oude Waver and back to Amsterdam in about 2 hours. You'll get a nice look into the Dutch countryside and farms and plenty of peace and quiet for a picnic along the way. A terrific escape idea from the city.

    Beautiful
    Wonderful, peaceful area with lots of well kept farms and stud farms. Many waterways and small bridges, but the roads are narrow. We enjoyed driving around and there were a number of B & B's and restaurants. Near Amsterdam but out of the hustle and bustle
