Beautiful busy district!

Amsterdam’s De Wallen area is home to one of the world’s most famous red light districts. Take a stroll to soak up the rousing yet beautiful lights, or visit the Red Lights Secrets Museum to learn more about Amsterdam’s sex work profession. The district is also known for its trendy coffee shops, bars, and clubs. The best time to see the district is in the early evening or at night, when the lights begin to illuminate the narrow streets. The area is safe, but it can get very busy, and taking photos or videos of workers is illegal. – Tripadvisor

    Beautiful busy district!
This district is beautiful. The women in the windows don't ruin the vibe at all and during the day there are only a handful about and they don't engage overly with tourists. They're polite women who will smile a hello if you make eye contact. There are a lot of strip clubs etc. and after around 10pm, the majority of the people around start to fit a stereotype you'd imagine in this area and it can be quite intimidating. However, it has the most cafes, resturants and shops in one location without being heaving with people. You will always find a seat outside or quiet cafe to chill

    When in Rome (Amsterdam!)
Walking through this part of town is a cool experience. Lots of cafes, coffeeshops and bars. Avoid if you don’t like seeing women in windows and lots of tourists! We found the area had a vibrant atmosphere mid week especially in the late evening time.
