Beautiful day trip destination
The journey there and the surrounding landscape was very lovely. The castle itself is quite nice as well, with interesting audio commentary and pretty views. Be sure to check out Weesp if you are taking a bus from there to Muiden. We also recommend Cafe Graaf Floris in Muiden, their food is very nice.

One of the oldest castle in Netherlands
One of the oldest castle in Netherlands, situated at 15 KM distance from Netherlands ??. The inside of the castle, its rooms and kitchens, was restored to look like they did in the 17th century and several of the rooms now house a collection of arms. You can find restaurants and nice places to have coffee, visiting the castle can be an excellent day bike trip. Entrance is 16.50 EUR or free if you have a museum card.
