Lighthouse Lange Jaap
if you ever want to see the tallest cast iron tower in Europe, you have to visit Huisduinen, Lange Jaap stands here. Lange Jaap is a lighthouse in Den Helder in the province of North Holland and was taken into use in 1878. The lighthouse was given the status of national monument in 1988. With a height of 63.45 meters, Lange Jaap is the tallest still burning lighthouse in the Netherlands and the tallest cast iron tower in Europe. The ascent to the top has 284 steps. Lighthouse Lange Jaap is not open to the public, I thought this was a pity.
