    Fun afternoon for the kids!
We enjoyed exploring this park with our two young children and another family. We were able to experience everything in less than two hours. The kids spent most of the time on the tractor bikes. They loved it! Worth a visit if you come when the tulip fields are blooming. The drive up was spectacular!

    So much more than tulips
After a somewhat long walk from the bus stop, I was a little worried my 4yo b\g twins would tire of tulip fields very quickly. However once we arrived, there was a lot for us to do and keep us all interested for over two hours, and glad we went. After lunch on the café terrace, over looking the fields of tulips and hyacinths, we decided to take the trail, which followed the story and history of tulips, their importance in Holland, and how they are grown. There was also a quiz trail for the children. After scrambling through tunnels and over hills, exploring a Sultan's Palace, looking behind the shutters and doors of old Amsterdam, navigating a maze and climbing on tractors the children had completed their trail and were riding on pedal power toy tractors, although as these were probably designed for Dutch children, you needed quite long legs. In addition, the adults now knew the story and history of tulips, in an informative, but interesting way. There was also an art installation in a greenhouse, which we didn't visit, and the show gardens were not yet finished. Finally, a man made cave showed how moles and earthworms helped growers tend their bulbs. The kids enjoyed playing at moles, crawling through tunnels, and pressing the button to make the toy mole race through a tube. Overall, a great day out for the family, and reasonably priced at €24 for two adults and two children. However, it's definitely worth considering driving or cycling to the location, as there are no close public transport links. Parking at the site is free.
