Cheese shop with good view
In earlier days Edam cheeses were weighed at the Kaaswaag, in the historical heart of Edam. A visit to the Kaaswaag weighing house and the summer cheese market will take you back to the origin of the world-renowned round cheeses. The Kaaswaag has a permanent exhibition about the art of making cheese. It goes without saying that you can also sample and purchase cheese here. Sorry we are closed from October-March.

Not to miss (for cheese fans!)
Worth to visit, if you haven not tried enough cheese yet! There is a small museum/shop, and you can taste some of the products, even if you do not intend to buy.

Yet another cheese shop!
As you might gather from the title of my review, you can get cheesed off (literally) with the countless cheese shops and museums that are everywhere in Holland. To give this one its due however, it is in Edam,and it is situated in the Cheese Market, so it might be worth a visit? Depends on what your current “cheesed off” factor currently is I suppose.
