Fun and child -friendly. We stopped to take a rest and were able to relax while my daughter fed the animals, ran around and explored the area.

A wonderful walk and so much more
What a great place. Easy accessible, big parking, a choice of 6 different walking paths, a lot of things to do and see, for kids as well as for the adults. Just a great place for a day out close to nature. Den Helder really gives it with this place.

Great place to introduce children to animals
We visited De Helderse Vallei this september and it was a great success especially for our 3 year old son. This Dutch Kinderboederij -(a "childrens farm") is a place where children can see and meet farm animals up close. Every farm animal was represented: Cows, goats, various birds, horses, etc... Especially the Dwarf goats were a huge success because we were allowed to walk amongst them, pet them and even feed them (with pellets availlable from a little vending machine) (Take care though they get very enthusiastic). The staff are very friendly and helpful! All in all it is a nice stop if you are in Den Helder with a kid.
