the most cosy cafe I know!
Terrace on the water, You can overlool the Vecht and take a cup of coffee with applepie or when it is hot a cold beer. There is also a heeted terrace in frond of the cafe. The menu is small but good. A toasty, a meatbal (gehaktbal) or bread with eggs (uitsmijter) . This are the things I have eaten there. It is near the station and has a small electric boat rent, so you can see Weesp and surrounding as it is!

Café t’ Helletje - Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Meat!
Restaurant eating and trendy bars are all very well, but if you’re visiting a country and want to sample a little local life, head for a local bar or what’s called in the Netherlands a “Brown bar” these are usually red / brown stone buildings frequented by locals and occasionally the discerning tourist who strays in seeking a little local authenticity. What better place to sample the famed Genever spirit …Jonge or Oude it’s a great chaser with a beer….try Rexel and of course the meatballs…they’re huge and utterly delicious and host Pieter Kors makes ‘em better than most.
