Behind the scenes of your bouquet of tulips
I met with a group of English-speaking friends and a couple toddlers for this interesting tour. We began with warm drinks and a presentation by Ellen in her art studio. The best part was then going through the greenhouse and seeing all of the technology involved in growing and supplying the perfect tulips you buy at the store. We saw the bulbs being placed in crates, bulbs in various stages of growing, and the fascinating automation used to sort and bundle the tulips. Most Dutch people have never seen this! Everything is inside this time of year. In spring they have bulbs planted outside blooming. Ellen was very knowledgeable about this family business and super friendly.
