Baanbrug is one of many draw bridges in Edam. This "Baanbrug" is an iron drawbridge over the Nieuwehaven, connected Baanstraat and Hoogstraat to the town centre. When you park your car at the parking area "Baanstraat" ( that's free for four hours ), you will not miss this bridge.

    Quaint bridge in Edam
    There are a lot of canals in Edam. This is a pretty cool bridge over one of them. Like all of the other bridges this is a draw bridge. The design if pretty ingenious as there is a counter weight to help raise the bridge.
