Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, North Holland Province, The Netherlands

4.5 (10 reviews) Spent More than 3 hours Ranking #1 in Bentveld Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas

Fantastic walk

The Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen is an area of dunes where in the 1800 canals were carved to extract fresh water to supply Amsterdam. The area is protected and is covered by forest with deer, foxes, hares and lots of birds. The area is big and there many trails for walkers and riders. The paths are not difficult and some of them even allow for wheelchairs. There is even a wooden decked path to reach the visitor's centre hosted in a old pumping station (see photos). I Strongly recommended it.
