Alkmaar City Hall, North Holland Province, The Netherlands

Architecture is beyond imagination
It must date back to 1800s as the Architecture is unique and combines both Dutch (City Hall) combined with Gothic arches and towers (as in Churches). Could not go in due to renovation work, but can go around to appreciate the period of the building and it’s intricate components.

Festive 19th century facade
The northeast wing of the building at Langestraat maybe from 1520, but the facade is late 19th century. The tower as well underwent significant changes (the upper part was added). Still overall it is an attractive almost festive building.

Stunning!
Whilst spending a week in North Holland we spent a day in the beautiful city of Alkmaar. A lovely place to wander around, stop for a bite to eat and then wander some more
