Must see museum in a beautiful location
Around 1.5 hour drive from Lebanon this is a beautiful location for the gallery and resting place of the famous Lebanese Philosopher, painter and Writer Gibran. This is an old converted monastery set up as a gallery for the works of Gibran and his final home village resting place. Very tastefully presented this gives a great insight to the man’s life and works set in this beautiful mountain location. To be respectful of no photographs within the museum. Well worth a visit.

Small but nice
It is a nice place to visit if you read or listen to Khalil Gibran's book 'The Prophet'. It is a small museum but charming. Not many people know that Gibran was also a painter, though let's face the fact he was much more talented as a writer. It is a good idea to visit if you are nea9, it is not a must see place to go here on purpose.

Interesting Museum
Although better known as a writer, Gibran was also a painter. His house is full of his paintings (no photos allowed). Nothing is really marked but it is interesting to see how he lived. HIs tomb is in the basement of the house.
