You cant' miss this when driving by

So yes we like to stop at odd places while traveling. Salem Sue is a great stop. You have to take the dirt road up the hill to a small parking area but it is a good road. Sue is bigger than you think when you get close and you can see it from miles away which is fun. Definitely stop and take a look you will not be dissapointed.

How can you not stop for a giant cow?
You can see Sue for miles and miles as you approach her on the hill outside Salem, ND, so it's easy to find her. We just had to take the short road up the hill to get up close to this huge statue. What a fantastic photo op and what a hysterically funny piece of Americana. We loved Sue!

Fun Stop on I-94
We recently made the trip to all 3 National Parks in the Dakotas. My neighbor teased me about seeing the biggest ball of twine, so I took the challenge and found this gem on I-94. It was a fun stop that everyone enjoyed as we travelled from Bismarck to Medora. I was shocked and impressed how far away you could see it on I-94. It really is the only hill for miles. The cow itself is perfect for pictures and simply a fun stop.
