Started in 2012, Laughing Sun Brewing Company is Bismarck, North Dakota's first brewpub. Laughing Sun produces quality hand crafted American Ales and specialty beers. If Laughing Sun were only a brewery, it would be worth visiting. They make a wide variety of really good beers (I was partial to the Magic Fish), so you can pretty much expect to find something that you’ll like. However, Laughing Sun is more than a brewery. It’s also a barbecue restaurant; we particularly enjoyed the brisket and the burnt ends. On top of that, there’s also live music on a regular basis and you can also partake in axe throwing provided that you reserve a lane on the website. Plus, you can find Laughing Sun’s beer throughout the area. I highly recommend that you visit Laughing Sun - plan to stay for a few hours!

Live music, food, beer, axe throwing, what more could you want?
We arrived for dinner at Laughing Sun and found it very busy. We placed our food order at the counter and were told the food would take around an hour. Finding a table, we sampled some of the local brews. The food arrived and it was very good. We had reservations for one of the weapons throwing lanes. We received instructions and demonstrations for the various items. The live band began to play and we started our weapon throwing adventure. The lanes next to us were all in use and a good time was had by everyone there. The band was very enjoyable. We highly recommend this establishment. If possible, make reservations for the lanes prior to arriving. Expect a long wait for your food and be guided accordingly.
