    Played the front nine
Started out on the practice range and we were told there would be balls in the large grey garbage can (!) nearby, but it was empty. We gathered some off of the chipping range to use. Were we able to play some golf? Yes. Was it special? No. Players are supposed to repair all ball marks and divots but the fairways and greens were rife with them. This area has had a lot of rain recently, so the greens and fairway looked healthy, otherwise. Our golf cart saw better days. It was hard to set the brake and it make squealing noises. Not a very attractive course - there were telephone lines along several holes. Staff were friendly enough and it was nice when a young man came by to collect our cart when we finished as we were unloading our clubs at our car. No reason to return.

Will likely be all houses soon
What kind of greedy developer closes 2 holes (11 might as well be) and the driving range on a highly played course? I was shocked when I called at 4 pm on Saturday and was able to get a Sunday tee time. The pro shop said we're wide open, I should have asked why. The course was only in average shape. Front nine greens slow, back nine lightning fast. Larkin is definitely off my list for 2017, maybe permanently.
