Great to visit as religious attraction
Phra Chao Ong Tue is the name of the Buddha image at this temple. Unless you are Buddhist and practice The Thai way, the Buddha image will be just another one you have seen in many places. If you are Buddhist and traveling around Thailand, this place is worth to stop by and pay respect to the famous image.

    Nice temple but not spectacular
This is your basic provincial Thai temple with non-existent landscaping and a single main building housing the primary Buddha image, although this is regarded as the most sacred in the province. I personally abhor temples with concrete parking surrounding the main building, which this temple was, but did appreciate the beauty of the Buddha image. I spent some time reading the history signboard which was interesting. If you come to Nong Khai and would like to pay homage to the province's holy site before continuing your journey, Wat Phra Chao Ong Tue is the place you should first visit.
