Amazing private collection

We accidentally happened upon this Museum and great little town while taking a road trip. My husband is a car guy and really enjoyed seeing all of these prestigious vehicles. I was amazed how clean the entire Museum was. The cars are all immaculate no matter how old they are. They are all started twice a week and each one looks like it came off the Showroom floor.

Well worth the trip. From anywhere.
Even though it's in a tiny town miles away from anywhere, the vehicles in this museum will surpass your expectations. There's not just a few nice ones, they are all incredible, and there are HUNDREDS of them. Numbers matching, low mileage, you'd swear they just came out of a time warp straight from the showroom. So many fuelie Corvettes I lost count. We visited on a weekday in November and were the only guests the entire day. The information placards by each vehicle had some misspellings and it would would have nice if they had listed the name of the paint color and other info, but no big deal. I'm a car guy, and if I ever win the lottery, I would do something almost exactly like this.

good Corvette collection, but much more too
First, if you're a Corvette lover, you really must see this place. In terms of the vehicles themselves, you might enjoy it more than the vaunted museum in Bowling Green. It's certainly less showy, but in terms of focus on the early years, the cars themselves probably rival those in KY and may be more 'real'. But there's more - an entire back section at least as big as the front features an eclectic mix of stuff - some of it not often 'collected' and much of it fun to see. A few customs, but mostly stock stuff (which I vastly prefer). Nocona itself is in the middle of nowhere, but if you drive out from, say, Dallas, once off the expressway there is a 4 lane rural divided highway that is basically straight, flat and with good sight lines. You might discover, for instance, that your rental Mustang GT actually doesn't have the max speed limiter where you expected it to be. You might even be tempted to confirm that a couple of times. Which would certainly make the driver entertaining. Hypothetically, of course.
