Quick visit to the mummified crocodiles

A very small museum that features a number of mummified crocodiles and statues in the shape of crocodiles. The museum is situated in the environs of Kom Ombo temple and only takes around 20 minutes to view, The entry ticket gets you access to this museum. On my first visit to Kom Ombo I did not visit this museum. The place reminds the visitor that crocodiles once swam in the Nile. the mummified remains were not that big (I have seen bigger live ones) however, these were raised by the priests and were most likely not the large ones in the Nile.

A Unique Little Museum Dedicated to Crocodiles
It is right next to the Kom Ombo Temple (The dual temple dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek and The Falcon God Horas). It exhibited with illustrations about the religious and cultural history about crocodiles such as statues, mummified crocodiles, carved items, etc. Definitely worthwhile to visit after spending a couple of hours exploring the beautiful Kom Ombo Temple.

Near the Ptolemaic Kom Ombo temple.
You can visit this museum in combination with the visit to the Temple of Kon Ombo. Your ticket includes the entry to both. It is recommended if one takes particular interest in the subject. Many mummified crocodiles. Museum seems dark and one basically can kind-of walk through it.
