Best village festival...!
Fikardou an authentic old Cypriot village. You feel that the time was frozen. The old roads with authentic houses... the festival is amazing : you taste almost all traditional Cypriot foods such as halloumi, palouze, trahana etc I liked it..!

Fascinating glimpse into the old Cypriot way of life
What a wonderful old village, We visited it on a tour of the Troodos villages. We were so lucky to have a very knowledgeable guide to show us round the various houses. It's in a beautiful area but it's quite isolated and it must have been a hard way of life for the villagers. It's now a heritage museum. We very much enjoyed wandering around and looking in the houses. Fascinating.

A Nostalgic Trip to the Past
My first visit ever to Fikardou was a nostalgic trip to the past old traditional Cyprus. The whole experience was excellent and it is certainly worth the try especially for young Cypriots to meet and learn about the past.
