Small port by river mouth and crossing on the way to Bigi Pan
Nickerie River is the river passing Nieuw Nickerie, going east, passing Wageningen and then south. We did see a small port with korjalen (small boats) by the mouth of the river (gps 5.958819, -57.015464). There were very nice views on the boats and the river. We did cross the river on our way to Bigi Pan and back, 1.3km each way. We did not see any animals during the cross overs. Note that this is not the border river between Suriname and Guyana.
