Amazing historic tour

I originally went there to pay my respects to my six times great grandfather Joseph Prince (the blind preacher) who is buried in the crypt along with his lifelong friends George Whitefield and Reverend Parsons. The tour was absolutely amazing. We learned so much about Whitefield and his ministry. Our tour guide Jerry did such a great job and was so informative and knowledgeable and did such a great job. We all agreed it was one of the best tours we had ever been on. I highly recommend anyone traveling to New England add this tour to their list.

A Must for the History Lover in Newburyport
This is a review of the tour of the building (since I have not attended Sunday services there I cannot comment on them). The historical tour with Jerry was a true treat. We came because we had an interest in seeing the place where the famous preacher George Whitfield was buried, but the tour exceeded our expectation. We were able to learn about the building, Benjamin Franklin and Paul Revere, and (of course) George Whitfield (be sure to ask about the man who stole Whitfield's arm!).

Whitfield and church history of the 1700's.
This church offers a tour packed with information about George Whitfield, the founder of the church. You will also see and hear much that reveals what church was like in early America. Our guide had researched the life of Whitfield and the conditions in earlier times. It is refreshing to find a church that values its founding.
