HELL ON WHEELS

A great boat tour! Watching 'Hell on Wheels' now. Sorry, my Sister put you in a headlock for being a Dolphins fan. Top-notch, A-plus, trustworthy, fun, accomodating, understanding, honest, reliable... Recommend this boat tour with zero reservations. Well, just don't go on the tour with my Sister.

Enjoyable outing on Blue Mountain Lake
Blue Mountain Lake Boat Livery is just down the road from the Adirondack Museum and provides a "Must Do" activity through Columbus Day weekend. My husband and I took the 2pm historic tour of 3 lakes and really enjoyed cruising the waters and hearing the history of this area. Our friendly captain/guide was just amazing in providing a fun and factual commentary that held everyone's attention for 2.5 hours! We just happened to see their sign out on the main road and were so glad we booked the tour. During the summer it runs 3 times daily...a must do while visiting Blue Mountain Lake!

    Find the Elephant
Our trip on Blue Mountain Lake with Captain Mike and his boat Osprey was just great. Though we are far from newcomers to the Adirondacks, let alone BLM, we thought Captain Mike made this jewel of the Adirondacks more vivid than ever before. His stories of local people, and the region's history, and his observations of both man-made sites (structures) and natural sights (a loon family and a snapping turtle) made for a wonderful tour that, in my opinion, could have extended for longer. We've done this before, and I'd like to come back again. And, don't miss the stuffed loon with a duct-tapped neck!
