On my husband’s bucket list!
Finding parking on a Sunday was a little difficult but finally we found a place in the parking lot for St. Francis Cathedral. We parked on the Almeda St. side but there was no parking attendant there so it took us awhile to find one. I’m so glad we stopped here because it’s something my husband has always wanted to see. There’s a $5 admission charge or $4 for those over 65. My husband knew the whole story of the staircase so he was my tour guide while we were there. It’s a beautiful church and knowing now the story of the staircase makes it even more exquisite. The gift shop was nice to go to as well and all the staff were friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to go on weekday when it wouldn’t be so hard to find a parking spot if this is all you want to see.

Beautiful treasure
There is an inexpensive entrance fee ($5), I believe because a private entity bought the chapel and has been restoring it. It is small and you'll mostly be sitting in the pew looking up, over, and around the interior. I am not sure what pieces are 'authentic' and what stained glass, painting, etc has been updated. The chapel is connected to more shopping :)
