Comfy air conditioned venue with great sound

We were in New Bedford for their annual music festival formerly known as Summerfest. It was our first time attending this particular festival and we are accustomed to the camp out & sit outside on a hillside in the hot sun & pouring rain kind of festival. Having the main-stage in a comfy air conditioned venue (& on 2 very hot days) was a new experience for us. Its my understanding that this is the first year that the Ziterion was used for this purpose and that the main-stage had been under a canopy in the park in previous years.

    Great Small Theater
This theater is great, perfect size since there are really no bad seats there. I have been here numerous times for various shows and concerts. The prices are also great for family night outs. The have a bar with some candy items, but not a huge concession selection, which I am fine with since it keeps kids from asking for a bunch of things. There website has the calendar to see what is coming up. They also offer group discounts, we have used that for our brownie troop recently and the prices were great.

    What a deleightful local attraction!
My family went to our first show at this theater in New Bedford, MA and we were pleasantly surprised. The theater was easy to find and just off the main road (Rt. 18). The employees were friendly and helpful. The show (Momix) was a national quality modern dance act. Very entertaining. Parking was convenient and free. Tickets were affordable, not like Boston venues. More people need to come out to support regional theater like Zeiterion!
