Such a nice zoo

As the 12th oldest Zoo in the country, the Buttonwood Park Zoo has delighted and enlightened millions of visitors over its more than a century existence. We are dedicated to preserving the future of wildlife by creating engaging and educational experiences that connect the community to the natural world. The Buttonwood Park Zoo is a local treasure in the community that not only serves to create long-lasting memories, but has become a conservation-based center focused on preserving important species and the habitats they call home. We are open year-round with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Stop in for a visit and see why we are the most visited attraction in the SouthCoast.

    Zoo Time
Ahmazing and love it soo much that we return yearly. Our 4 year old son has now been here 3 times already. We love it that much. Today the otters were playing hide and seek with him and the elephant put on a huge show for us. Black Bear was less than amused While be slept this afternoon in the sun.

    Elephants, buffalo, and playful otter.
Even when we're not enering the zoo, we visit the elephants, Emma and Ruth, from the Buttonwood Park Pond parking area. I have posted pics of 350 Canada Geese that visit the pond, and recently walked on ice. See my FB page, Birdtalk.
