Generally, a Good Place to Visit & Relax
Been here at least 20 times. It's a must go to for me. But this time a little chilly, very windy. Couldn't stay to see the ferries come in because almost every damn ferry was cancelled due to rough water & high winds. But in nice weather, it's a relaxing spot to sit on the beach or rocks & watch. And at Christmas they put a big red bow on it. For me, it's just a tradition to go. But this (sadly) might be the last time. This island is just getting too damn expensive.

Great photo spot of Historic Lighthouse by Nantucket Harbor
This is a small charming lighthouse that is easy to walk to. It is on a slip of sand by the harbor and a beautiful spot for pictures. It is quite weather beaten and could use some new paint. The first lighthouse here was built in 1746 and several lighthouses since then either were destroyed by fire or storms. It is near the keeper's house and Coast guard station and offers a commanding view of the beach and Nantucket homes.
