You can't miss it!
One of the contemporary signatures of Oman is presented here! The place looks like a magic garden full of scented trees and bushes. The tour starts with introducing Amouage perfume collections and the stories behind them. Then you can see the bottling hall where people are packing the products. The next step would be a showroom in which you may try the perfumes and buy if you wish. There are also packs of small-sized perfumes which contain 4 to 10 of them. If you visit the place in the last working hour, call them first, they will wait until you arrive! Also, they would let you park your car inside the company yard.

A look into the process of making a perfume
I booked an appointment with the visitor's center for a guided tour. The guide explained the history, ingredients, and the team behind the perfumes. It was a nice experience to see people distill essential oils, store perfumes in large vats, and the process of quality checking and packaging. Some members have been working here for nearly 30 years. You can buy a whole perfume bottle or small testers as a gift. The perfumes smell divine and luxurious on a level that normal ones can't match.

Even if you're not a scent enthusiast, aren't you curious to learn about the world's most expensive perfume?
"Touring" the factory was of marginal interest but learning about the different "notes" that a scent has was new for me. Like wine, there is the first scent that makes the initial impression. The intermediary one and the final and lingering scent. At the beginning of the tour, the "ingredients" for each of Amouage's perfumes are on display and you can learn what it is you are attracted to. The "tasting" or sampling area after the tour is great. There is no pressure to buy, not at all. You can ask your guide what to recommend based upon what lingering scent is fo interest to you....because that is the one that will stay with you for hours. Can't do that at a department store or at the duty free shop! Take advantage of his knowledge and give yourself a very unique souvenir to take home!
