Return for a Family which "Began" here.
Sonja and I had fond, romantic (if you get my drift) memories of being here almost eight years ago. Now, we returned with our young family and, according to our 7-year-old (!!!), we had the BEST TIME EVER!! (Little does he know, eh?) Some of the old faces are still here, and the new ones are terrific-friendly. I can't say enough about the great facilities, fabulous snow, friendly folks, and LOW prices. I predict that it won't be long before they have to expand the parking lot and put in a couple of more lifts. For couples or families, this place can't be beat.

People come here for the snow, the scenery, and the relaxed vibe
An unusual ski hill offering a very good experience. In the middle of the Bob Marshall Wilderness, so no lodging, no glitz, no hype, and a mountain road to get there. Beautiful views driving in and from the hill. Only one chairlift (1,000') plus a poma (closed the day I was there). Very relaxed vibe. People come here for the SNOW. Even with only one chair, there's good terrain -- wide and variable. I skied through a foot of chilled powder all day long, and there was plenty left when I departed. Families bring kids; it's relaxed and fun. With avalanche gear, you can hike up from the top of the chair into additional terrain outside the ski area. Friendly staff, good soup and cold beer.
