Tubing the Swan -- A must Do!!
There is a stretch of the Swan River that can be "tubed" (floated using inner tubes). I can't remember the name of the road that has a bridge where you will "put in". Nor can I adequately describe where you will "pull out". But, the locals know. Do this with your children. It takes an hour and a half or two and it will be one of most joyful and memorable things you will do with your children during your entire trip. Don't tell anyone who told you about this. Many people with homes along the river don't like the existing traffic and certainly don't want more. It's completely understandable that they don't. But, it is too much fun and too beautiful to not share with others. So, I'm sticking my neck out for your benefit. Don't make me pull it back in.

Lovely time
Floated this beautiful river, from just past Ferndale to a takeout point. I recommend going with someone who has floated it before. There are places to get hung up. I recommend have paddles or oars to help navigate.
