Wow
Hidden gem of a park off the highway. Pristine campground around a lake that is usually as still as a mirror. Perfect place to relax for a weekend, do some fishing/swimming and take some colorful photos. Make weekend reservations ahead of time!

Great Park to Camp!
We were really impressed by how friendly the staff were as soon as we arrived at Placid Lake State Park. They were great with the check in and even helped us fill our camper with water. The park is very clean, well maintained and monitored. All facilities including the restrooms and shower were very clean. The price of firewood was reasonable and best value in the area. Even thou it is a short drive off the highway, the view and peacefulness is relaxing.

A beautiful lake.
Wonderful spot to visit. The lake is clean and beautiful. No fish were biting but that's okay. We enjoyed exploring and seeing trees chewed by the beavers!
