Beautiful Park
Everyone needs to see this National park. Even after all the glaciers melt within the next 30 years, there is still so much beauty. The glaciers are only the tip of the iceberg (no pun intended). You will see sweeping views 360 degrees all around you everywhere you go. It’s hard to take a bad picture here! I would recommend staying in the park if you can, but make sure to get reservations way in advance (at least a year) as places fill up fast. There aren’t too many roads here so it’s relatively easy to see all the top spots in the park in one trip.

Beautiful Park but aren't letting many in
We loved Glacier NP but getting a timed ticket to get in was impossible. It really was silly trying to get 2 of 145 timed tickets for our 7 day trip to MT. They are gone w/i 45 SECONDS. No matter how perfect you are in signing on at exactly the second they go on sale the chances of getting them is slim to none. I spent 6 days trying and never got one. My brother spent 3 weeks trying and never got 1 either. I did get a ticket on one of their boats at St Mary and used that to get in that day. the other days we had to get up at 430 to be there and in the park before the station are manned at 6am. We loved the hike to Avalanche Lake. It's really beautiful. Wear appropriate shoes b/c it is a damp and wet trail. You can hike all the way to the end of the lake too to see the waterfalls a little bit closer. it is crowded. It
