We loved this lake, only a short hike (15 minutes?) from the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn in the Many Glacier area. It's a great place to spot moose and yes, we spotted one not far from the lake.

    Easy hike with lots of wildlife
    Hiked to Red Rock Falls. 5 miles round trip. Saw moose in Fisher Cap Lake (two different spots), black bear on the trail, mountain goat high up on the rocks at entrance to the falls. Not a hard hike, very beautiful. Take a horn or whistle to ward bears away.

    We spotted Moose at this lake
    We opted for a longer hike than just Fishercap Lake, but this was the first main stop on our hike of the day. Easy enough hike for most families. You’ll pass aspen and pine groves along the way. Catch the trailhead just at the end of the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn parking lot (walk to the west end to the start this hike). On our way back from Bullhead Lake later in the day, we passed Fishercap Lake again and spotted Moose bathing in the water in the distance. Quite a beautiful sighting. If you want an easy hike in the area, this is one of your options. If you have more time, continue on to Bullhead Lake (same trail).
