there are so many lakes in the area, but this one is very beautiful and very quiet and serene. I recommend checking out all the lakes in the area. the ducks were very cute. we enjoyed our morning coffee there and enjoyed the views.

    My second home
I have been going to echo lake every summer since before I could walk. It is an awesome place to vacation. The lake is very warm in july/august usually getting over 80F. It can get a lot of boat/waterski traffic in the summer months because it is a very popular vacation spot for us canadians. Exploring the lake you will find many calm coves with turtles sunbathing on logs. There is great largemouth bass fishing all around the lake as well as smaller perch for the kids to catch. Closeby is the town of bigfork and to the east are some great hiking trails in jewel basin. At night time the dry air combined with the high altitude and remote location away from city lights give stargazers an amazing treat. There are several rental properties available on the lake as well as campgrounds. You will need to book very early if you hope to get something in the peak season.
