Blues & soul fans: don't miss this!
What an amazing place! As a blues & soul-music lover I was amazed to learn just how many of my favorite musicians came from the Delta. This museum tells their stories, in words, music and pictures. So moving to see the cabin Muddy Waters lived in as a child, to get to watch videos of him, and to learn how ZZ Top helped the museum get started. The wall full of Don Nix's black-and-white photos of musicians was a really moving tribute to the history of this unique part of America.

Experience the magic of delta blues
This museum is a "must visit" when in the Clarksdale MS area. We love the displays and the great people in the shop. Plan to spend some time there watching the history of Delta blues music and hearing it in the words of the performers. The photos are amazing. And the wonderful exhibits of instruments, clothes and sculptures are also amazing. We always visit the museum and then, of course, we go to Abe's for a rack of ribs. Clarksdale is a magical place to us. The museum is the best part.
