Beautiful home on the Mississippi River bluffs!
We visited Rosalie during Natchez Spring Pilgrimage and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We arrived early and thus had a tour to ourselves, which allowed us to ask a lot of questions! Our guide was very informative, and we loved seeing the elegant simplicity of this beautiful home. The lady working in the gift shop was especially friendly--and recognized and remembered us when we ran into her on another house tour later in the week.

    Beautiful home, great location.
We toured this home recently and fell in love with it. Rosalie is located on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River with beautiful gardens. What makes this house unique is that it had only two owners before the DAR purchased it. Much of the furnishings are original to the second owner. They even have some of the children's clothing and toys which were later found in the attic. Fortunately, when Union troops occupied the house during the Civil War, they were respectful of the home and the owners. The house has always been well maintained so there has been little, if any, restoration work involved other than standard maintenance. As usual, the women giving tours display classic Southern Hospitality. I am not sure if young children would enjoy the home as it is furnished with antiques which are delicate and cannot be touched. The mansion is well worth your time.
