Historic Natchez Cemetery, Mississippi, United States

Interesting afternoon

One of my favorite places to take guests when they visit Natchez. Gravesites day’s back to the 1700s. The stories that have been handed down through history are timeless. If you can book a cemetery tour, you will not be disappointed. The Angels on the Bluff tours happen each November and are quickly sold out within a week. Worth a visit if you have time while visiting Natchez.

    RV Trip
Natchez City Cemetery - Incredibly interesting place to walk around very ornate and elaborate grave sites. Reminds me of touring cemeteries in Savanah and New Orleans. We felt very safe on our own inside the cemetery fence. Be sure and see the Turning Angel stature. Reading the story on line before going would make your visit even more interesting. We found a section dedicated to Confederate soldiers.

    A BEAUTIFUL CEMETERY
I visited the Natchez City Cemetery with my friends in July to visit the grave of Florence Irene Ford. The cemetery is beautiful and kept up so nicely. Also, there are many magnificent wrought iron gates that adorn this cemetery, It was such a moving and peaceful experience to visit this historic cemetery.
