Brewery with a great story and some quality beers
Actually, visiting Alivaria Brewery Museum includes a tour around brewery, which is one of the oldest historical buildings in Minsk. The manager of the museum worked at the Alivaria Brewery for over 20 years and knows everything about it. Visiting the brewery is like tracing the history of the country, with all the twists and changes. The brewery’s long and fascinating story goes back a few centuries and involves local nobles, Russian imperators, Jewish merchants, soviet partisans, etc. The reason the brewery has not been ruined in WW2 (the fate of all other buildings in Minsk) is that all participants needed beer for their army... And then there is a beer tasting, where you could try different kinds of beer and select your favorite one. Definitely a must visit, and a bargain for a price! Even my mother-in-law who has never tried beer before enjoyed the visit tremendously!

    Must do in Minsk
very interesting tour led by a lady which has been working in brewery industry in Belarus since 1970-s, then degustation of 4 sorts of Alivaria beer (each is 0.5 litres), so you come out of there pretty drunk and happy.
