Jet ski rental
We rented jet skis in late summer 2021 from this outfitter. What we loved: the jet skis were in great condition, we received excellent information on jet ski operation and safety features from the owner. The weather was perfect, the jet skis ran beautifully and we along with our children, relished the time together on the water. What was disappointing? Upon check in the owner was rather short & curt with us. We brushed it off--everybody has a bad day. However, when returning the jet skis he was even more sour, surly and quite frankly, rude. Perhaps we have just grown accustomed to "Minnesota nice" and expect it at every turn, but had this owner embraced that notion, I can guarantee this would have been a perfect day!

Beware of a rude owner!!!!
Beware of the rude owner! If we could give 0 stars, we would! We stayed at Gragun's resort and they don't have jet skies there so we were looking for other rentals. We drove 14 miles to "Boats and beyond" to rent couple jet skis . When we returned them back, my husband and I were waiting for one of our kids to pick us up. Because of my husband poor planning, our kids couldn't find us so we were stuck in that place for two hours! There is no taxi available, the place was empty, we couldn't even ask any residents to give us a ride back to resort. We were soaking wet, cold, hungry, no cell phones ( obviously we were on jet ski), no wallets, no money trying to reach one of our kids. Austin, a very nice young man who works there, let us use his cell phone. Needless to say we were not happy waiting for so long so my husband and i were arguing. Our arguing had nothing to do with that place. At some point i was so cold in my wet clothes, I offered to sweep their 3 car garage' driveway just to keep warm! after 1.5 hour of waiting for our kids, the owner of that place showed up. He walked straight to me, pointed his finger in my face and in a raised voice told me to stop arguing or he will call cops. My husband and I were stunned!!!! The owner didn't offer us a towel, or water, he didn't ask what happened, why we are soaking wet on his driveway and how he can help. he just started yelling at me. At this point i was so cold and exhausted, I told him " yes, please call the police so I can get out of here" A few minutes later he was on the phone saying " I just want these people out of here'!!!! The sheriff showed up 30 minutes later and told my husband he doesn't know why he is here. Finally the polite, nice and friendly Austin was able to drive us back to the resort with his boss permission. if you are in the area, avoid by any means that Boats and beyond rentals place! Drive extra miles, but don't go there! We wont and will make sure more people know about our horrific experience, thanks to the rude owner.
