Best beach in the area
This beach is one of the hidden gems in the area. It has sand, a playground, fishing piers and is a beautiful, natural setting.

Beautiful lake
We rented a houseboat from Timber Bay Lodge and spent 5 days on Birch Lake. Awesome scenery, good fishing, great swimming. Loved it!!

Houseboat excellence
Was the best trip we've ever had in the great outdoors. We had total privacy. We would go again in a second

Birch Lake Beach - Beautiful
Babbitt Beach is one of the best public beaches in Minnesota. It is located on beautiful Birch Lake and it seems only locals know about it. Rent a houseboat to enjoy a week on the lake. You'll love the fishing and beauty, but I bet you'll spend parts of at least a couple of days pulled up on shore here.

Beautiful quiet lake
I have never been on such a beautiful quiet lake that is just huge. Spent an afternoon on a pontoon boat following groups of loons and a bald eagle

Great quit lake!
We cruised from Timber Bay in a pontoon boat and saw Bald Eagles, loons, and other wild life. The lake is calm and quit even though some are water skiing. Take the boat out late at night and check out the zillion stars! Fishing was almost none existent and the only 4 Northern we caught in 7 days were all in the 24" - 36" protected range and had to be released.

Camping in a teardrop.
We went Kayaking and boating in a pontoon on the lake. The first day there was a fishing contest but after that it was a nice quiet camping experience.
