Stroller friendly and great picnic
We hiked to the little pebble beach where the river meets the lake with our 2-month-old in-tow. Once you get past the steps, the trail is wide and passable with a stroller (we have a Bugaboo Chameleon). Take a blanket, swim suits and picnic fare with you - the pebble beach is a great place to relax, eat and take a swim. The water in the river is very warm.

Lovely river, beautiful hike!
So glad we took a break from our drive along Lake Superior to stretch out legs and see what the Baptism River area offered! The hike was enjoyable and the river inspiring to photograph and just “feel” its power while standing next to it in various places. Definitely a great place to visit for many of us that thoroughly enjoy the outdoors!
