High lake levels and rain lead to a site change

The site I had reserved, #32, ended up being kind of soggy, with standing water near the firepit, and the electrical hookup on the wrong side. We ended up moving to site #44. It’s in the middle of the campground, which is not ideal, but it was relatively dry. Young State Park is on the north shore of Lake Charlevoix, near Boyne City. There’s firewood for sale in the park, and a decent grocery store in Boyne City, as well as some good restaurants. Charlevoix is also within easy reach.

    Nice Park but Trails were flooded.
    Nice park and beach with lots of picnic tables. Near Boyne City so had easy access to stores/restaurants. Walking trails were flooded and unpassable in places which was disappointing but the parts that were open were nice. Park store staff didn’t have information on the trails (even where the trail heads were) so get a map. Park store had ice cream and a few essentials. Saw lots of children fishing in the small pond behind the store. Pleasant way to spend the day.
