Friends weekend
What a great place!!! We had a blast!! Restrooms and Showers were always VERY CLEAN!! There were a lot of showers too. Never had to wait. We stayed the second weekend in October and the park was full. Sunsets are so beautiful!!! The ranger was so helpful. Very funny and happy!! What a great guy!! Check in was a breeze!! Thank you! We will all definitely be back!

Year round playground
Mitchell State park is a wonderful place to visit for the day or spend your vacation camping. It is located on beautiful Lake Cadillac and the canal that leads to Lake Mitchell. Across the street is a day use park and boat launch. Across another street is the Carl T. Johnson Nature Center. Wonderful programs. Great campground with nice beach, volleyball court, boat launch, kayak launch. rentals of kayaks and paddle boards and so much more. Staff is wonderful and friendly. They keep the park very clean especially the bathrooms and showers.

Strict Noise Rules
Good: Pretty lakes and kayak renting. Bad: Extremely loud road noise that keeps you up at night. Park rangers who get a kick out of telling you to be quiet in a very rude way. Although other campers had screaming kids and music till 2 AM. It was fine but there are probably better places.
