Tons of fun!!!
We had a great time it was 9 miles of great scenery, it was our first time canoeing and we survived so if you want to give it a try this is one pretty easy for beginners.

Quiet ride down the river
We took a quiet 2 hour float/paddle canoe trip down the Manistee River. We were able to get in right at the livery and made arrangements for a pick up time. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The river was quiet late morning and we were able to see many types of birds and water fowl.

We loved it!
The staff at Wilderness was outstanding! We came with 3 young kids and kayaked the Manistee River. We had lots of help from the staff with check-in, life vests, getting the kayaks in the water, help getting out of the water and a friendly ride right back to our car in the parking lot. The river is wide and beautiful. There are lots of shallow areas with sand to stop and let the kids play along the route. Highly recommend!
