A wonderful venue.
Having attended several different performances at Wharton I can only say that we are VERY fortunate to have such a facility available in East Lansing. When Wharton first opened several years ago it was billed as the most acoustically perfect theater in existence. I now use hearing aids so I expect that the sound system may have changed. I have several vision impaired friends and some performances (if interested, contact Wharton to learn more) are described through a headset for those guests. We can enjoy the performances together. Anyone planning attend should plan ahead and learn what is scheduled for the season.

Not a Bad Seat in the House!
Recently saw "Wicked". We sat in the back row of the balcony and had no problems seeing or hearing the show! Quality performance and helpful attendants! Parking was a bit crazy - but was expected.

Incredible Venue
Have been to the Wharton Center many times in my close to 20 years living in the area and it is always special. From concerts to broadway plays there simply is no better place to see a show than at Wharton. I love the mid-century modern feel of the place, the comfortable seating, and the unmatched sound from any seat in the house. The view, however, is not great from the very first row (you sit below the stage and look up at people's feet) or the last few rows of the balcony (where sometimes the upper portions of the stage are blocked). Other than that, this place is fantastic and a real jewel in East Lansing.
