    Camping galore!
We recently stayed at Sugarloaf campground and it was perfect! We had the best lot site and fantastic weather! First off this place is huge! We were only there for four days and we only got to see a small part of it. There is soo much to do for families! I highly recommend checking out the Discovery Center and all the trail surrounding it. We also took part of several programs including nature crafts, nature programs and even searching for crayfish in the Mill creek. The kids loved all of it! The whole area is equipped with spots for fishing, swimming, biking, hiking, and just plain old sitting around by the campfire doing nothing if you wanted to. The Waterloo recreation area has everything for a perfect camping setting. Also on the way home we stopped at the Meridian Baseline State park which is about 20 minutes northwest of the area. It was a short hike to the middle of the woods were we showed the kids where the "center" of Michigan was established and all the counties come from these two points. Very neat!

    Michigan is the best!
My children (ages 15 &11) and I came for a short overnight stay. We booked the modern cabin off the lake and it was very nice and clean, of course their were bugs such as spiders but that is expected so bring spray. The bathroom and showers are kept very clean and were a very short distance away from the cabin. I enjoyed being in the secluded woods but also being able to socialize with the neighboring campers. The beach is beautiful and the even though the fishing pier hasn't been rebuilt yet there are still places to go fishing. This campground is huge so I recommend staying at least two days if you really like the outdoors such as myself.
