    Not my favourite State Park
Although this park was clean and the staff very nice, the campsites are too small and there is absolutely no privacy. We were fine with our equipment, but if you have a big rig, you cannot get the rig on the site and your car. You have to park across the end of the site or on the site itself. You are right on top of your neighbour. I would recommend you bring your own drinking water as the public water spigots has very dirty looking water. I am sure it is safe to drink but it doesn't look very appealing. The swimming area is nice and there is lots of picnic tables, washrooms and a concession stand. Not a lot of sand for the little ones to play in. We had a good week but I won't be going back to this park anytime soon. I love lots of trees and privacy and there are many parks in Michigan that fill these requirements.

    Wet Weekend
The park is great for families. There is a lot to do and a lot of fishing can be done. Very kid friendly and pet friendly. When we showed up there were maybe 15 sites used. After the first day there were maybe 15 sites that weren't being used. One thing this park has for the RVr that other I have seen do not is an exceptionally large are for dumping. Seems gross I know, but they have three pull through areas that can accommodate two RVs at a time. So 6 total. They offer the potable water and the clean water for the black tank. The park is great, during the day. We showed up at night and it was poorly lit and we ended up passing it two nights in a row. Driving to our campsite was not an easy task. Having a 31 foot camper made some of the turns a bit difficult. The loop we were in was very difficult with a ditch on both sides of the turn. When booking online the water symbols do not mean the site has water hookups or even a faucet. Matter of fact only sites 1,3,5, and 7 have water and that is not represented on the booking website. Over all it is a great park to visit and I am sure we will be back.
