A beautiful memorial.

I saw this memorial and had to stop to look at it. My cousin gave his life for our country in Viet Nam, and his name is on this wall, as well as some "boys" I went to school with. I'm so thankful their lives and deaths are being honored. I hope many will take time to visit this memorial. There are places to sit and each branch of military is recognized.

    Take the time
After watching every minute of the Ken Burns - Vietnam, I felt compelled to stop back by and take another much deeper look at this Memorial. Keep in mind that I drive by this multiple times everyday. I still find it odd that Ann Arbor (the county seat) shunned this fine tribute to Washtenaw County citizens who gave all. While looking at many familiar names I sat and thought to myself, How would this area be different if this war had not happened and all had lived? Could one of these guys been my coach, my teacher or a co-worker? If you live in the area take the time. Yep - even if you live in Ann Arbor.

Befitting for all who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
While somewhat out of the way, it is well worth the time and effort to play homage to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy in this country. Pictures here are accurate depictions of what to expect.
